Patrick J. Wethington
President & CEO
Mr. Wethington has 18 years of experience in the medical device industry. Prior to joining Hemosphere, Patrick was Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing at CHF Solutions which was acquired by Gambro in 2010. Mr. Wethington also served as an Area Vice President for CRM, AF and Cardiology field operations with St. Jude Medical, Inc. Prior to St. Jude Medical, Inc., Patrick held the roles of Global VP of Sales, Training and Education and Director of Marketing/ New Product Planning at Endocardial Solutions, Inc. (ESI) from 1997 to 2004 when ESO was acquired by St. Jude Medical, Inc. Patrick started his career in the medical device industry with Eli Lilly’s Medical Device CPI Division which merged with Guidant, Inc. where he served in various marketing, clinical, and new product planning roles. Patrick graduated with honors with a BA in Political Science and Economics from Clemson University and an MBA in Strategic Marketing and Planning from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management.
Timothy J. Chase
Vice President, Sales & Marketing
Mr. Chase is a medical device professional with over 23 years of successful, results oriented experience in developing strategic direction and leading cross-functional teams. His background includes domestic and international management with world leading and start-up/emerging companies in the areas of marketing, sales, product development, training and surgical support. Technology experience includes interventional and surgical approaches in cardiology, electrophysiology, cardiac surgery, and spine. Prior to joining Hemosphere, Tim was VP, Sales and Marketing at Disc Dynamics. He also held multiple positions at St. Jude Medical, including Region Sales Director, Director Worldwide Marketing, and Sr. Marketing Manager. He served as Territory Manager at Endocardial Solutions, plus worked in Marketing at Schneider and Upsher-Smith Laboratories. Tim has a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Minnesota and an MBA in Marketing from the University of St. Thomas.
Laurie Lynch, PhD
Director of Quality, Regulatory Assurance & R&D
Laurie Lynch has over 19 years of medical device experience in start-up companies. From 2008 to 2010, Laurie held a variety of Medical Device consulting roles in the areas of R&D, Quality, Regulatory and Operations. From 2002 to 2008, Laurie was the General Manager and VP R&D, Operations, Regulatory and Quality Assurance at GRAFTcath, Inc. During 2000 to 2002, Laurie was VP of R&D and Operations at Advanced Bio-Surfaces, Inc. During 1992 to 2000, Laurie held a variety of roles including Chief Technical Officer (CTO) as well as Director of R&D and Manager of Pilot Manufacturing at Optical Sensors, Inc. From 1990 to 1992, Laurie worked as Senior Chemist at Dupont, Inc. Laurie graduated with a B.S. in chemistry from Canisius College and received her Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Minnesota in 1989.
David M. Krenn
Controller and Director of Operations
Mr. Krenn has over 10 years of finance and accounting experience including 8 years of management experience in the medical device industry. David joined Hemosphere in March 2011 to serve as the company’s Controller leading the Finance, Accounting, Customer Service and IT functions. Prior to joining Hemosphere, David was Senior Manager of Sales Operations at Medtronic. He was also at ATS Medical, a publicly-traded cardiovascular device company, until its sale to Medtronic in August 2010. While at ATS Medical, David held multiple management positions supporting sales, marketing, finance and accounting. Prior to ATS Medical, David was a Principal Financial Analyst with Boston Scientific (formally Guidant Corporation) and a Senior Associate with KPMG in Minneapolis specializing in the financial service and medical device industries. David holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Saint John’s University in Accounting and Finance.
